How do narcissists re-write history? Do they actually believe that what they say is true?

One of the lesser talked about aspects of narcissism is the need to offload shame. For a non-disordered person this may seem to be a bit of an absurd concept and seem really far-fetched but, I can assure you it is as true as the disorder is. The shame is manifested and is visible when you see them lose.
